I’m Chris!
Software Developer / Statistician / Mathematician
About me
Hello! I’m Christopher Sedgley, a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto Mississauga. I study Applied Statistics, Computer Science and Mathematics, with Data Science, Machine Learning and I.T skills developed through projects and certifications. If I’m not working on a course or project, I can usually be found playing video games, brushing up on my guitar skills, or playing with / spoiling one of my cats Schierke and Vivian. More often than not though, I will be working on a new certification or certificate to add to my collection, since there are so many different specializations and things to learn. I find that I understand a topic the best when I learn all of the surrounding topics as well, so my current schedule and projects section will consist of different branches that I am working on.
Current Schedule & Projects
This includes employment, my academic schedule, as well as personal projects and goals.
Working on side projects while pursuing my studies
Right now I am taking a year or two off from school to gain more work experience, and learn more applied skills like Data Science.
My projects right now follow Data Science through Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn and a couple of plotting libraries. I am also working on getting my A+ certification, and a couple of Machine Learning certifications and certificates.
Course / Certificate Priority List:
1. Data Science Course <--- 2. Data Analytics Course <- 3. A+ Certification <-------- 4. Network+ Certification < 5. Security+ Certification < ——————————————- Then I will seek advanced knowledge in these areas, focusing around Machine Learning for Data Science (PyTorch, Keras), and CyberSecurity + Project Management skills.
